You can place your outdoor rental orders easily in our online store. We have a limited supply of equipment so it is wise to make your reservation well in advance. The deadline for orders starting on the next day is at 18.00 on the previous evening. When choosing delivery via Matkahuolto parcel service the reservation must be placed at least 5 days before it starts. The time buffers for our home delivery options are 3 days to Helsinki region and 2 days to Turku region, respectively.
How does delivery via the Matkahuolto parcel service work?
When choosing delivery via Matkahuolto, we ship the equipment to the Matkahuolto service point that is nearest to the address that you provide us (excluding automated parcel lockers). These service points are commonly found in many supermarkets, gas stations etc. You can search for them here: https://www.matkahuolto.fi/service-points When the shipment is en route we'll send you an SMS containing the parcel number and a return code. You can track the parcel with the number here: https://www.matkahuolto.fi/tracking
You'll receive another SMS from Matkahuolto when your order is ready to be picked. When your reservation ends, you can return the equipment free of charge from any Matkahuolto service point (other than automated parcel lockers) with the return code that you have received. Just mention that you wish to make a customer return shipment and give the code number. The delivery usually takes 1-3 business days to arrive. Thus, we need you place orders using this delivery method 5 days in advance in order to ensure that you have gear when you need it. You can start using the equipment immediately once it arrives even if your reservation hasn't begun yet. The equipment is packed to protective packages for the delivery. Please return the gear in these same packages. Do not remove any markings on the packages!
is it safe to hire camping gear?
To ensure that your trip is enjoyable we apply thorough maintenance procedures to our gear after every use. Special ozone treatment is used to deodorise equipment and to kill any bacteria and viruses. A sleeping bag liner for example is first cleared of any small objects (leaves, twigs etc.) then washed in a washing machine and finally treated in an ozone chamber after each use to ensure maximal level of hygiene.

can i bring my dog to the hiking trip?
Yes you can! You'll be asked about possible pets when ordering certain equipment in our online store.
what are your refund terms if i cancel my order?
We refund 100 % of your order when cancelled 7 days or more before your reservation begins. For orders that are cancelled more than 24 hours in advance, we refund 50 %. Orders cancelled later than 24 hours before they start are not refunded.
how long periods i can hire equipment?
The maximum renting time is 30 nights in our online store. For rentals longer than that, please contact us via email.
can i choose the gear included in the bundles?
When renting on of our bundle packages, you'll be offered helpful extra gear to choose from when viewing your shopping cart. If you don't need certain equipment, you can inform us about this via email after placing your order. Leaving gear out of a bundle package doesn't affect the price.
